When I joined University of Toledo Federal Credit Union (UTFCU) as President and CEO in 2023, I knew I was stepping into something truly special. UTFCU has served the University of Toledo community since 1964, and I’m honored to help carry that legacy forward.

Our Story

More than sixty years ago, 13 people came together around a simple idea: members helping members. With limited resources but strong conviction, they founded T.U.T. Federal Credit Union. In 1976, we became University of Toledo Federal Credit Union and expanded our reach. Today, we proudly serve more than 6,700 members nationwide.

The Difference

As a not-for-profit cooperative, UTFCU operates differently than large banks. Earnings are returned to members through better rates and lower fees—putting more money back where it belongs. We’ve also introduced residual-based auto financing to help members manage higher vehicle costs. That’s what member-focused banking means to me.

This philosophy is central to my leadership approach and to the work I share through Greg Cook—focusing on service, accountability, and long-term value for the communities we serve.

My Commitment

I’m a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a proud University of Toledo graduate. This community shaped me, and now I have the privilege of serving it. Alongside an exceptional leadership team—Chief Operations Officer Shawna Misiuda, Chief Financial Officer Nicole Farris, and Vice President of Lending Bev Trost—we are committed to innovation, integrity, and member trust.

Our Board of Directors, led by Chairman Tom Trimble, provides experienced guidance as we honor our history while planning for the future.
